MCU-Coatings is a line of anti corrosive coatings unlike anything you have seen before.

With a history of 30 years, currently, MCU-Coatings is one of the fastest growing moisture cure polyurea (MCU) coating technologies worldwide.
The primary reasons for the success of MCU-Coatings technology is the ease of application and its proven long-life performance. The coatings performance such as durability and corrosion resistance, even when applied in less than ideal conditions, is second to none and in a league of it’s own!
Structural Systems is the Caribbean’s leading provider of prefabricated steel buildings and metal products. For more than 40 years, they have been the trusted single-source supplier of durable, high quality steel structures and metal products for commercial, industrial, residential, and agricultural construction throughout the Caribbean region.
For many of the large structural steel buildings, SSL have been applying MCU to their structural steel in their finishing process at their fabrication plant in St. Thomas, Barbados, with great success.
MCU-Coatings has been proven to outperform the well-known plural component epoxy coating systems every time. With its single component application and no two part mixing, both the prime coat and the top coat are separately yet quickly applied by spray gun. Minimum drying time between coats and ability to apply even on high humidity days, means that downtime at SSL is severely minimised allowing for quick turnaround and delivery.
The finished structures are loaded on to trucks for delivery to site or for export to other islands. They are then assembled and finished by their team on site and a completed building is handed over to their clients. And just like that, there is a building with cutting edge technology hidden under layers of walls, roofs and other products, but with a security knowing that the proven MCU performance and application advantages, it is highly protected from corrosion for many years ahead.
