Wherever there is water, you will find DAMEN

DAMEN Shipyards Group (est. 1927) operates more than 50 shipyards, repair yards and related companies worldwide.  Damen employs over 7,000 people in 35 countries, has delivered over 5,000 vessels since 1969 and delivers some 150 vessels annually to worldwide customers.  Based on its unique, standardised ship-design concept and short delivery times, Damen is able to guarantee consistent quality.

Damen’s focus on standardisation, modular construction and keeping vessels in stock leads to short delivery times, low ‘total cost of ownership’, high resale value, proven technology and reliable performance.  Damen offers a wide range of products, including: tugs, workboats, patrol vessels, high speed craft, cargo vessels, dredgers, offshore support vessels, oil-spill response vessels, frigates and super yachts.  For nearly all vessel types Damen offers a broad range of Services, such as Lifecycle Maintenance Services, Customer Finance, Training and transfer of (shipbuilding) knowledge.

In addition to ship design and shipbuilding, Damen Shiprepair & Conversion offers a network of 16 ship repair & conversion yards worldwide, most of which are conveniently located along the North Sea coast from Brest (France) to Gothenburg (Sweden).  Damen Shiprepair & Conversion operates 40 dry docks of all types and sizes and offers onsite/onboard repair services.  Conversion projects range from updating smaller or older vessels to today’s requirements to the complete conversion or rebuilding of large jack-up rigs.

The DAMEN Harbour & Terminal series vessels help keep harbours safe.  They supply all workboats needed for the wide variety of tasks in ports and harbours. Products are divided in two groups: Towage & Movements and Harbour Services.  Towage & Movements includes tugs, Stan Launches and Stan Pilots and Harbour Services includes work barges, skimmers, dredgers and high-speed craft.

The DAMEN Naval Shipbuilding range of security and patrol vessels offers unrivalled seakeeping behaviour, speed and reliability.  They specialise in building naval and patrol vessels ranging from 7 metres to more than 200 metres, from Interceptors and Stan Patrols to amphibious support ships and naval auxiliaries.  This is unique in the shipbuilding world.

Damen builds perfectly tailored, fuel-efficient public DAMEN Transport Series vessels.  Their ultra-modern (Fast) Ferries, Water Taxis, Water Buses, RoPax and Double Ended Ferries can be seen all over the world.  They work with standard hulls to keep costs low and delivery time short.  And with years of experience DAMEN deliver state-of-the-art design and construction.

In 2008 the Barbados Coast Guard accepted delivery from Damen the final and third patrol vessel in their new fleet, the flagship HMBS TRIDENT - a 42 meter Damen Stan 4207 partol vessel.  The HMBS LEONARD C BANFIELD and HMBS RUDYARD LEWIS are two vessels of similar build delivered in 2007.
